Risky Blogging

Hello class- After reading the pros and cons on blogging I think that blogging is not worth the risk.  I mean really, this isn't the Arab Spring.  There probably isn't anybody's life on the line.  The fate of my people doesn't depend on my blog.  As an educator I wouldn't want to have a public blog.  Maybe one for the parents, so they could see what is going on in class.  Besides, I'm not really one of those people that likes to type stuff just to see it on the screen.  And that's what you're basically doing if you're a public employee with a public blog.  How would you not end up saying something stupid?!
